Question 1

What is Dare Drop?

Accepted Answer

Game publishers sponsor Dares, creators play them live on Twitch, YouTube and TikTok, and viewers get the loot. You can also create your own Dare for a creator you love and back it with a pledge.

Question 2

How do I win rewards from a Drop?

Accepted Answer

When a creator completes a sponsored Dare, the rewards go to their community, usually through a giveaway. Watch the creator's stream or check their Dare Drop profile to see how to enter.

Question 3

What happens if my Dare is accepted?

Accepted Answer

The creator is taking on the challenge. You will not be charged until the Dare has been confirmed complete.

Question 4

What happens when my Dare is completed?

Accepted Answer

The creator uploads the video proof to Dare Drop. We send you a notification and save the clip so you can watch it at any time.

Question 5

What happens if my Dare wasn’t accepted or the creator failed to complete it?

Accepted Answer

In either case, the Dare expires and you are not charged.

Question 6

My favorite creator isn’t on Dare Drop. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Let them know you made a Dare for them, in chat or on social media. You can tag us too, and we will be happy to reach out to the creator.

Question 7

How much of my pledge does the creator get?

Accepted Answer

Dare Drop takes a 10% fee plus payment processing costs, and only once the Dare is completed. The rest goes to the creator.

Question 8

What is Dare Drop?

Accepted Answer

Dare Drop gets you sponsored to play. Game publishers run Drops with Dares, game keys and rewards. You accept a Dare, play the game your way and give the rewards to your viewers. Your viewers can also create Dares for you and back them with pledges.

Question 9

How do I join Dare Drop?

Accepted Answer

Create an account and connect your Twitch, YouTube or TikTok channel. We review every channel against our creator criteria.

Question 10

I’ve made an account. What’s next?

Accepted Answer

Browse the Drops, pick a Dare that fits your stream and hit Accept Dare. You get a free game key and your own tracking link to share with your community.

Question 11

I’ve completed a Dare. Now what?

Accepted Answer

Open the Dare and submit the stream, clip or video that shows you completing it. We verify it, then the rewards are yours to give away to your viewers.

How do I get paid for viewer Dares?

Accepted Answer

Pledges are paid out via PayPal once your Dare is completed and the video is approved. Make sure you have added your payout email in your account settings.

Question 13

How does Dare Drop make money?

Accepted Answer

Game publishers pay for Drops. On viewer Dares, Dare Drop takes a 10% fee, only once the Dare is completed.

Question 14

How do I accept and reject Dares?

Accepted Answer

Open the Dare you want to act on and accept or reject it right from the Dare itself.

Question 15

How do I set a goal for my Dare?

Accepted Answer

Once you have accepted a viewer Dare, you can set a goal. This sets your price, and your community can crowdfund the Dare toward it.

Question 16

If my goal isn’t reached, can I still deliver the Dare?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can deliver at any time and you receive the amount that has been pledged once your video is approved.

Question 17

How long do I have to complete a viewer Dare?

Accepted Answer

Viewer Dares are live for 25 days from their creation date. Dares in a Drop follow the dates of that Drop.

Question 18

How do I keep inappropriate content off my page?

Accepted Answer

Dare Drop filters offensive content automatically. Our filter isn’t perfect, so you can also reject any Dare from the Twitch panel or the website, which removes it entirely.

Question 19

Do I have to complete the Dare while live streaming?

Accepted Answer

No. You can complete a Dare live or on video, on Twitch, YouTube or TikTok. Stream & Earn Drops are the exception: they need a live stream of at least 2 hours.

Question 20

Can I use alerts and overlays with my streaming software?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any broadcasting software that supports a browser source works, including OBS, Streamlabs, Twitch Studio and XSplit. Let us know if you have questions about your software.

Question 21

My audio alerts aren’t working. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

Refresh the cache on your browser source. If that doesn’t fix it, go to OBS Settings, then Advanced, and try enabling or disabling "Browser Source Hardware Acceleration." Use your test audio buttons at fr.daredrop.com/alerts.

Question 22

What is a Drop?

Accepted Answer

A Drop is a sponsored campaign for one game: the Dares, the keys, the rewards and the dates. Game publishers fund Drops and creators take their Dares on stream.

Question 23

What do I need to take part in Drops?

Accepted Answer

A Dare Drop account with a connected Twitch, YouTube or TikTok channel that meets our creator criteria. Some Drops add their own requirements, such as platform or region. The Drop page lists the minimum audience on each platform and how many Dares your channel can accept.

Question 24

Do I have to buy the game?

Accepted Answer

No. You get a free game key when you accept a Dare, unless the game is free to play.

Question 25

How many Drops can I take part in?

Accepted Answer

As many as you like. Accept any Dare you think you can complete.

Question 26

I accepted a Dare but can’t find it.

Accepted Answer

Open your Dashboard from the menu at the top right of the page to see every Dare you have accepted.

Question 27

How do I complete a Dare in a Drop?

Accepted Answer

Make content for the game, share your tracking link with your community, then submit the stream or clip as proof on the Drop page. We verify it before the rewards are released.

Question 28

Is there a deadline for my Dare?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A Dare expires when its Drop ends, or earlier if the Dare has its own end date. Submit your proof before then: an expired Dare can no longer be submitted.

Question 29

What if my Dare is rejected?

Accepted Answer

We email you the reason. Fix what it asks for and submit the Dare again from the Drop page before it expires.

Question 30

How do I access my keys and rewards?

Accepted Answer

Your game keys and rewards are in your Dare Drop account. We also email you when your Dare is verified.

Question 31

Can rewards run out?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each Dare has a limited number of rewards, given out first come, first served. The Drop page shows when a Dare has none left.

Question 32

What is the delivery ratio?

Accepted Answer

When you take a game key from a Drop, you agree to make content for that game. Your delivery ratio is the share of those Drops you delivered on, and your creator dashboard shows it. Under 60% you cannot take a key from a new Drop until you deliver on the ones you joined. Contact us at support@daredrop.com if you need help.

Question 33

What is Clip & Earn?

Question 34

Are Drops available in all regions?

Accepted Answer

Most Drops are available in all regions. Contact us at support@daredrop.com if you run into an issue.

Question 35

How do publishers use Dare Drop?

Question 36

What kind of games run Drops?

Accepted Answer

Games of every size, from debut indie titles to AAA launches. See our case studies.

Question 37

How does it work?

Question 38

Why Dare Drop?

Accepted Answer

Dares give creators a reason to play your game and give their viewers something to win. Instead of a plain "brought to you by" message, your game becomes part of the stream.

Question 39

What does a Drop cost?

Accepted Answer

Every Drop is scoped to your game, your goals and how many creators you want to reach. Book a demo and we will price it with you.

Question 40

Does Dare Drop offer managed services?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our team can run the whole campaign for you, from brief to report. Book a demo or email support@daredrop.com.
